BANNSIDERS ON CUSP OF TOP SIX SPOT
Coleraine edged ever closer to securing a top six berth following this draw with Dungannon Swifts at The Showgrounds.
The Bannsiders can only be overtaken by Carrick Rangers on goal difference, but must wait until the 'Gers complete their pre-split schedule to be mathematically certain of their place.
After a quiet start the game roared into life after half-an-hour when Coleraine were reduced to ten men following Stephen Lowry's dismissal after an off the ball incident with James Knowles.
But Oran Kearney's side still went in at the break on top after Matthew Shevlin opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time with a finish from Jamie Glackin's corner at the second attempt.
The Swifts went in search for the equaliser in the second half, with Glackin blocking the ball in front of goal to keep them at bay while Kealan Dillon sent a later effort just past the right post.
Coleraine were presented with an opportunity to double their advantage just after the hour but Josh Carson could only look on as keeper Declan Dunne dived low to his left to thwart his spot-kick attempt.
And the visitors did grab their leveller around ten minutes after that with former Coleraine striker Andy Mitchell getting his head to Adam Glenny's cross from the left.
