BLUES HIT NEWRY FOR SIX
Linfield hit Newry City for six at Windsor Park to remain hot on the heels of leaders Larne at the top of the table.
Matthew Fitzpatrick opened the scoring after 14 minutes with a close range finish at the back post after Matthew Clarke had knocked on Ethan McGee's lay-off from the left.
Kyle McClean made it 2-0 after half-an-hour from inside the box when McGee headed on Kirk Millar's cross ... with Millar getting on the scoresheet himself ten minutes after that from the spot, awarded after Barney McKeown had upended Fitzpatrick.
McClean then doubled his tally for Linfield's fourth just before the break with a deflected cross from the left that left Newry keeper Conor Mitchell stranded.
Linfield's fifth came midway through the second half courtesy of Jamie Mulgrew's close range finish through Mitchell's legs before, four minutes after that, Braiden Graham wrapped things up with his first touch after coming off the bench.
