FOUR FOR BONIS AS LARNE RUN RIOT
League leaders Larne stormed to a crushing victory over Glenavon at Inver Park in a game which saw both sides end with ten men.
Lee Bonis opened the scoring for Tiernan Lynch's side after 12 minutes with a cool lob over advancing keeper Mark Byrne.
That kicked off a sensational 13-minute period that brought another four goals for Larne to well and truly kill the game off before the half-hour mark!
Bonis doubled his tally soon after when he fired an Andy Ryan low cross from the left high into the net, before Ryan himself got on the scoresheet moments later with a drilled finish from Jaziel Orozco's right-sided cross.
The scoring continued on 23 minutes with Bonis bagging his hat-trick goal when he ran onto a Chris Gallagher through ball to beat Byrne at the second attempt.
Remarkably, just two minutes after that, Ryan then doubled his tally in similar circumstances as Larne continued to run riot.
Glenavon did pull one back six minutes from the break after Len O'Sullivan ran into the area to beat Rohan Ferguson with a low shot.
And the dramatic first half took another twist not long after that when Larne were reduced to ten men following Sean Graham's dismissal for a challenge on Jack Malone, his second caution of the game.
The second half was somewhat less chaotic ... that was until the 73rd minute when Glenavon also lost a man after Peter Campbell was shown a straight red card for a foul on Orozco.
Then, just five minutes after that, Bonis completed the scoring with his fourth of the day when he raced onto an Aaron Donnelly ball to finish with his left foot.
