MATCH BALL FOR LIDO AS GLENAVON HIT FOUR
Lido Lotefa bagged a hat-trick as Glenavon stormed to a four-goal defeat of Dungannon Swifts at Mourneview Park.
The 23-year-old needed just six minutes to open the scoring when he made the most of Cahal McGinty and Dean Curry's failure to clear a long ball forward to nip in and direct the ball into the net.
Then, eight minutes after that, he doubled Glenavon's advantage when, from another long ball, he slotted past keeper Alex Henderson into the bottom corner.
Dungannon might have pulled a goal back in the final few minutes of the first half when Leo Alves came close with a low strike from close range but Glenavon keeper Mark Byrne did well to deny the effort.
However Glenavon extended their lead just after the hour with Lotefa's hat-trick goal after he pounced on the loose ball when James Doona's initial header came back off the crossbar.
And just a couple of minutes after that Matthew Snoddy knocked home a fourth for the home side with an unstoppable strike from the edge of the box.
Dungannon's afternoon went from bad to worse when they where reduced to ten men following Gael Bigirimana's dismissal for a tackle on Snoddy while, ten minutes after that, Ben Gallagher saw a spot-kick saved by Byrne after the home keeper had fouled Andy Mitchell in the box.
