McKENDRY AND SHEVLIN HAND BANNSIDERS THE WIN
Coleraine remain in the driving seat for a top six spot following a two-goal victory away to Newry City.
The Bannsiders moved in front after just six minutes when Conor McKendry unleashed a terrific long range finish past keeper Conor Mitchell.
Coleraine might have doubled their lead around ten minutes later when presented with a spot-kick following a Ryan McGivern handball but Jamie McGonigle could only look on as Mitchell kept his penalty out.
But Oran Kearney's side did bag their second after half-an-hour through Matthew Shevlin's back post header from Jamie Glackin's corner.
Newry did attempt to claw their way back into the game after the break, with Ciaran O'Connor coming close with a volley just the wrong side of the post.
However Coleraine's lead was never really threatened and they might have added to it in the closing moments when McGonigle took the ball past a number of defenders only for his low shot to be turned away by Mitchell.
