SIX GOAL THRILLER AT LAKEVIEW PARK
Loughgall and Carrick Rangers battled to an equal share of the spoils in a six-goal thriller at Lakeview Park.
The visitors created the better chances in first half with Cameron Stewart, Danny Gibson and Andy Mitchell all having efforts on goal before, on 34 minutes, James Teelan fired them in front following a scramble in the box from a throw-in.
But it proved to be a short lived lead when, just four minutes later, Andrew Hoey levelled for Loughgall with a back post header from Jamie Rea's corner.
However Carrick regained the advantage not long after that with Gibson's first of the afternoon, a cool finish into the bottom corner after a Mitchell free-kick was initially palmed away.
And Gibson struck again moments after the interval after latching onto a long ball to fire beyond the outstretched Berraat Turker.
Loughgall responded positively, and almost pulled a goal back when Benji Magee fired past Ross Glendinning only for the ball to come back off an upright.
The Villagers did reduce the deficit on 77 minutes, though, with Hoey's second of the game with a strong strike from the edge of the area.
Then, in stoppage time, substitute Nathaniel Ferris knocked home the leveller from point blank range after Pablo Andrade's effort had been pushed out.
