CURRY HITS WINNER AS SWIFTS STUN BLUES
Gael Bigirimana and Dean Curry hit second half goals as Dungannon Swifts came from behind to defeat Linfield at Windsor Park.
Although a lively first half decent opportunities were at a premium although Linfield did come close just before the break when both Euan East and Kyle McClean combined to produce a double save from Swifts keeper Declan Dunne.
The Swifts almost moved in front early in the second half when Andrew Mitchell connected with a Kealan Dillon ball from the left only to see Chris Johns equal to the effort.
However the deadlock was broken on 51 minutes after Darragh McBrien did well to pull the ball into the box for Matthew Clarke to turn home with a first time left-foot finish.
And the Blues almost doubled their advantage soon after when Bigirimana was adjudged to have handled inside the box only for McClean to see his subsequent spot-kick saved by a Dunne dive to his right.
Dungannon levelled just after the hour, however, courtesy of Bigirimana's close range finish into the bottom left after John Scott had sent the ball over.
Then, with ten minutes remaining, the visitors moved in front with what turned out to be the winner after Curry rose highest to head into the bottom corner after Dillon had floated a free-kick into the box.
