SECOND HALF GOALS ENOUGH FOR CRUES
Two second half goals saw Crusaders secure all three points from Carrick Rangers' visit to Seaview.
Although scoreless at the break, Stephen Baxter's side did enjoy the better first half chances with Jordan Forsythe perhaps coming closest with a powerful volley around the half-hour mark which Ross Glendinning did well to palm away.
The deadlock was broken, however, just four minutes into the second half when Paul Heatley held off a number of defenders before firing home after Jordan Owens had nodded a goal kick into his path.
It got worse for the visitors ten minutes after that when they were reduced to ten men following Kurtis Forsythe's booking for a foul on Heatley, his second caution of the afternoon.
Then, on 65 minutes, the Crues doubled their advantage after Owens connected with Billy Joe Burns' pass from the right to calmly slot the finish past Glendinning.
Lloyd Anderson might have added a third late on but could only look on as his strong effort was well tipped over the bar.
