LUSTY DOUBLE SPARKS SWIFTS COMEBACK
Late penalty drama at the Showgrounds ended in Dungannon Swifts coming from behind to defeat Coleraine thanks to a Matthew Lusty double.
It was on 38 minutes that the Swifts took a shock lead, as referee Ben McMaster pointed the spot after Matthew Lusty's shot was adjudged to have been handled by Coleraine's Conor McKendry. Lusty stepped up and fired the spot kick home with purpose past Gareth Deane for the opening goal.
Coleraine came out from the interval with renewed purpose and eventually hit Dungannon with an equaliser on 70 minutes, McKendry's cross converted by teenager Ciaran O'Hara for his second goal in consecutive games for the Bannsiders.
The home side went in front three minutes later, when after Dungannon failed to deal with a dangerous cross from Glackin, Dean Jarvis was on hand to strike home a superb left-footed volley from the edge of the box.
It looked like the points would be staying at the Showgrounds, but the Swifts rallied with three minutes left as Tomas Galvin latched onto a through-ball to cooly guide the ball under Deane to level the scores again.
Deep into stoppage time, Dungannon were awarded another penalty after Lynch brought down Lusty. Matthew Lusty stepped up again to the spot but despite seeing his initial effort saved, he was first to react to the rebound and slotted home the winner to spark celebrations in the away end and seal the victory.
