HONOURS EVEN BETWEEN RANGERS AND VILLAGERS
Carrick Rangers and Loughgall battled to an equal share of the four goals scored at the Loughview Leisure Arena.
Lewis MacKinnon opened the scoring for the 'Gers with four minutes remaining of the first half when the ball took a deflection from a David Cushley corner before reaching him at the back post to fire home.
The Villagers levelled just four minutes into the second half, however, when Jay Boyd volleyed past Ross Glendinning after connecting with Jamie Rea's looping cross from the left.
Then, with 19 minutes remaining, Benji Magee edged the visitors in front after latching onto a looping pass to take the ball past a number of home defenders and ending with a composed finish from the edge of the six yard box.
But, just three minutes after that, Danny Purkis fired Carrick back level again with cool close range finish after Albert Watson had flicked on a Joe Crowe cross into his path.
