SKY BLUES AND INVER REDS DRAW A BLANK
Larne failed to move back to the top of the table after sharing the spoils with Ballymena United at The Showgrounds.
Tiernan Lynch's side could have moved into pole position following Linfield's defeat to Glentoran on Friday evening, but couldn't find a way past a determined home side.
Indeed, the struggling Sky Blues looked the better proposition in a quiet first half but, in reality, neither side really looked like making the breakthrough in a 45 minutes of few chances.
Things picked up a little after the break, and United did have the ball in the net early on when Noah Stewart headed home a Fraser Taylor cross but he was deemed to have strayed offside.
It was, however, a frustrating afternoon all round for both camps but a welcome point for Jim Ervin's side.
