BANNSIDERS AND 'GERS CANCEL EACH OTHER OUT
Coleraine and Carrick Rangers cancelled each other out to battle to a share of the spoils at the Showgrounds.
The visitors needed just four minutes to break the deadlock courtesy of a superb Reece Glendinning free-kick some 25 yards from that arrowed it's way into the top left corner past keeper Gareth Deane.
Coleraine responded positively to going behind, with David McDaid heading narrowly wide from Conor McKendry's right-sided cross before McKendry himself worked his way through the defence only to see his effort deflected for a corner.
Carrick might have doubled their lead late in the first half but Deane did well to turn Andrew Mitchell's shot away for a corner before turning a Cameron Stewart header over the bar while, at the other end, Aaron Jarvis tested Ross Glendinning from distance.
McKendry threatened again for the Bannsiders midway through the second half but could only find the side netting before, on 70 minutes, Stewart was lucky when his attempted clearance from Lyndon Kane's cross was sliced off his own post before being cleared.
But Coleraine did level with 11 minutes remaining when McKendry sent in another ball onto which McDaid connected to prod home the equaliser from close range.
And Mitchell thought he had secured the win for the home side right at the end only to have his 'goal' ruled out for an infringement.
