VILLAGERS SWEEP PAST SKY BLUES
Loughgall swept to a comprehensive victory over Ballymena United at Lakeview Park.
Despite the eventual outcome, it was the visitors that seized the early advantage when Ryan Waide fired them in front after a quarter-of-an-hour after Noah Stewart had knocked the ball over from the right.
However the Villagers hit three goals either side of the half-hour to grab full control of the game.
Benjamin Magee levelled on 27 minutes when Kym Nelson failed to clear the ball, allowing Jay Boyd to cross for Magee to turn the finish past Sean O'Neill.
Then, a few minutes later, Boyd found the net himself on the follow up after Andrew Hoey's initial effort came back off the bottom of the post.
And, on 32 minutes, Magee scored again with a deflected effort past the United keeper from the edge of the area.
Loughgall moved further in front on 47 minutes when, from a Mark Patton corner, James Carroll rose highest to head home at the far post.
Waide pulled one back for the visitors seven minutes after that when he dispossessed Caolan Loughran to run clear to slot the ball past Berraat Turker.
But Loughgall restored their three-goal cushion with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when Patton finished with his right foot from Pablo Andrade's cut back.
