McKENDRY AT THE DOUBLE FOR BANNSIDERS
Conor McKendry bagged both goals as Coleraine defeated Crusaders 2-0 at Seaview.
A scoreless first half produced few notable chances in front of goal, although Josh Carson did force keeper Jonny Tuffey to tip his free-kick around the post while, at the other end, Paul Heatley and James Teelan were denied by Gareth Deane.
McKendry opened the scoring nine minutes after the restart. He received a pass from Andy Scott to make his way into the box and then beat Tuffey with a low drive at the near post.
And the 25-year-old doubled up with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining after pouncing on the loose ball from a wayward backward header from Billy Joe Burns to slot his second of the afternoon past the home keeper.
