LECKY GOAL THE DIFFERENCE AT SEAVIEW
Crusaders edged to a narrow victory over bottom of the table Ballymena United at Seaview.
The visitors created the better chances during the opening exchanges with Noah Stewart sending an effort just wide of the left post a short time before Fraser Taylor tested Johnny Tuffey while, a little later, Lewis Tennant failed to convert an Andrew McGrory corner at the back post.
But the Crues came close themselves as Adam Lecky nodded on a Ross Clarke free-kick with his downward looking likely to open the scoring.
And Lecky went one better on the stroke of half-time with what proved to be the only goal of the game with a close range finish when Jarlath O'Rourke cut the ball back into his own path.
The second half was largely a quieter affair with Ballymena's best chance coming through a McGrory free-kick over the bar while, at the other end, Sean O'Neill proved equal to an O'Rourke drive towards goal.
