LARNE IN CRUISE CONTROL
Larne swept to a four goal victory over Newry City at Inver Park.
The champions needed just four minutes to open the scoring when Paul O'Neill blasted the ball past Tom Murphy from close range after Micheal Glynn had knocked on a corner across the face of goal.
Dylan Sloan came close to doubling the home advantage midway through the first half only to see his effort touched onto an upright by the visiting keeper.
But, on 41 minutes, Levi Ives did make it 2-0 when his effort from around 20 yards deflected past Murphy into the net.
And Larne's third came not long after that with Glynn blasting home a strong strike from outside the box.
Ives then completed the scoring with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when he got on the end of a Joe Thomson ball over the top to fire low into net from close range.
