A POINT APIECE AT MOURNEVIEW
Glenavon edged closer to a potential European play-off spot with a point at home to Dungannon Swifts.
Matthew Fitzpatrick continued his recent goalscoring form with the opener for Gary Hamilton's side as early as the eighth minute into the bottom right corner after making the most of a mix up in the Swifts defence.
Glenavon might have doubled their advantage not long after that but Jack Malone saw his effort come back off the crossbar after thinking he had beaten keeper Declan Dunne from the edge of the box.
Teenager Cohen Henderson then sent a curling effort just over before the Swifts had a Jordan Jenkins 'goal' ruled out by the officials following a foul in the box.
The Swifts might have levelled after the break when James Knowles tested keeper Rory Brown with a 20-yard free-kick that looked to be curling into the net.
But, with nine minutes to go, Knowles did set up the equaliser with a corner that substitute Corey Smith got on the end of to nod home.
