CUSHLEY STRIKE ENOUGH FOR CARRICK
A David Cushley goal just before the break secured the win for Carrick Rangers away to Dungannon Swifts.
The sides traded half chances during the opening exchanges with Jordan Jenkins delivering an effort just past the right post while, for the visitors, Mark Surgenor produced a great save from Declan Dunne after connecting with Andrew Mitchell's corner.
Nedas Maciulaitis then saw an effort blocked before, three minutes from half-time, Cushley bagged what proved to be the winner with a superb dipping volley from 30 yards over Dunne's head.
After the break Ben Tilney forced another stop from Dunne while, at the other end, Ben Cushnie might have levelled only to fire over from close range.
The Swifts threatened again late on but Ross Glendinning did well to get down low to thwart Ryan Mayse.
