LARNE GO SIX CLEAR
Larne opened up a six point lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership after defeating Ballymena United in a re-arranged game at The Showgrounds.
It took 40 minutes for the deadlock to be broken when Lee Bonis found the net with a first time finish from 12 yards after Andy Ryan cut the ball back from the touchline.
And it was 2-0 just a couple of minutes after the break. A Joe Thomson corner found Bonis who saw a header appear to go wide before taking a deflection of United's Ryan Waide and into the net.
Then, with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, Ryan completed the scoring with a sliding back post effort after Tomas Cosgrove had sent the ball over from the right.
