LARNE GO CLEAR AFTER REDS WIN
Larne opened up a three point gap at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership with victory over second placed Cliftonville at Inver Park.
Cian Bolger might have opened the scoring within the opening two minutes only to turn a Joe Thomson corner wide at the back post.
Lee Bonis also had an early effort although was saved by keeper Nathan Gartside, while later chances from Tomas Cosgrove and Leroy Millar were blocked.
Larne eventually found a way through just after the half-hour mark when the ball broke for Millar to step forward and deliver a low shot beyond Gartside into the bottom corner.
Andy Ryan thought he had added a second right before the break but his clipped effort over Gartside was ruled out by the officials.
Jonny Addis to levelling for the Reds early in the second half after getting a touch on Ronan Doherty's free-kick.
Cliftonville were reduced to ten men just before the hour when Jamie McDonagh was dismissed for collecting his second booking of the afternoon.
Larne had the ball in the net again after Bonis followed up from Gartside's save from a Micheal Glynn piledriver but this was ruled out offside.
Ryan then doubled Larne's advantage with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining after Millar had rolled the ball into his path.
Addis set up a grandstand finish, however, when he found the net with eight minutes remaining after controlling a Ronan Doherty free-kick before firing into the roof of the net.
The Reds might well have snatched a point in the closing stages but Ronan Hale could only send a half volley just wide with Rohan Ferguson beaten.
