DOUBLE DONNELLY DELIGHT FOR THE GLENS
Glentoran continued their unbeaten run under Rodney McAree with victory over Ballymena United at The Showgrounds.
But they had to come from behind to do so thanks to goals from brothers Jay and RuaidhrĂ Donnelly after Sean Graham had given the Sky Blues the lead.
The deadlock, in a game played in difficult conditions, was broken after 28 minutes when Graham dispossessed defender Aidan Wilson before racing clear and directing a shot beyond keeper Aaron McCarey.
Shay McCartan squandered a chance to level soon after but, with three minutes of the first half remaining, Jay Donnelly did equalise for the Glens at the back post after a cross from RuaidhrĂ wasn't cleared.
And RuaidhrĂ inflicted even more damage upon the home side with two goals in as many minutes just before the hour.
He edged the Glens in front on 56 minutes after sweeping in to turn home a Wilson knock on before doubling his tally for the night getting on the end of a poorly defended Conor McMenamin inswinging free-kick.
