NO GOALS AT THE SHOWGROUNDS
Ballymena United and Portadown ground out a scoreless draw at The Showgrounds.
A quiet first half, the sides traded chances early on with a Steven McCullough free-kick gathered by keeper Ondrej Mastny while Cathair Friel's snapshot was dealt with by Jordan Williamson.
Josh Kelly then threatened with around a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock but could only sidefoot the ball narrowly over while, later in the half, Ryan Waide sent an effort direct at Mastny.
Portadown's Luke Wilson perhaps came closest to breaking the deadlock after the break when his header from Reece Jordan's corner was cleared off the line by Mikey Place.
But chances were few and far between with the only other notable moment coming midway through the second half when Portadown defender Christopher Rodgers almost sent a header into his own net only for Mastny to scramble the ball to safety.
