SHEVLIN AND FYFE ON TARGET FOR BANNSIDERS
Goals from Matthew Shevlin and Eamon Fyfe helped Coleraine defeat Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park.
Scoreless for most of the first half, the deadlock was broken in stoppage time when Matthew Shevlin slotted home from inside the box after being played through by Andy Scott despite the best efforts of Cahal McGinty to prevent the ball from creeping over the line.
Just prior to that, however, the Swifts almost edged in front after Gerardo Bruna delivered a low cross into the box whereupon Coleraine skipper Stephen O'Donnell's clearance clipped the top of the crossbar.
Scott might have doubled Coleraine's lead only to fire into the side netting but, on 81 minutes, Fyfe did make it 2-0 after connecting a corner from the right from point blank range.
Then, a couple of minutes from time, Shevlin doubled his tally for the afternoon with a clinical finish from Josh Carson's low left-sided cross.
