BOLGER AND THOMSON ON TARGET FOR LARNE
A goal in each half helped Larne defeat Portadown at Inver Park.
Cian Bolger grabbed the first after 20 minutes with a powerful header from a pinpoint Lee Bonis cross to hand the home side a deserved lead.
Leroy Millar might have added a second towards the break with a close range header that fell narrowly wide of the left post.
Mark Russell came close to levelling for the Ports early in the second half when he cut in from the left only to curl the ball inches wide of the far post.
But Larne doubled their lead on 52 minutes through Joe Thomson who hammered into the top right corner from another Bonis pass.
Bonis himself just failed to make it 3-0 with a low, hard effort just wide while a later Millar effort met a similar fate.
