McGINN CLAIMS MATCH BALL AS GLENS HIT SIX
Niall McGinn helped himself to the match ball with a hat-trick as Glentoran hit Dungannon Swifts for six at the BetMcLean Oval.
The Northern Ireland international opened the scoring midway through the first half after winning possessing in midfield, bringing the ball forward and firing into the bottom left corner.
Shay McCartan doubled Glentoran's lead just before the half-hour mark with a close range finish after being teed up by Jay Donnelly who had capitalised on a defensive error to win the ball.
McGinn doubled his tally on 35 minutes after Donnelly again provided the opening before, not long after that, he bagged his hat-trick goal after connecting with a well timed McCartan pass.
It got worse for the Swifts on 41 minutes when defender Mayowa Animasahun turned the ball into his own net whilst attempting to clear an Aidan Wilson header.
McCartan then completed the scoring on 65 minutes with his second of the evening, a free-kick which went over the wall and past keeper Declan Dunne.
