'GERS AND REDS SERVE UP SIX-GOAL THRILLER
Carrick Rangers and top of the table Cliftonville produced a thrilling six goal encounter amid torrential rain at the Loughview Leisure Arena.
The league leaders moved in front with a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock after Levi Ives curled a free-kick into the top corner from the edge of the area after Sean Moore had been fouled.
Rangers levelled on the half-hour mark through David Cushley who stroked the ball home from close range after the visiting defence failed to clear a corner.
But Cliftonville regained their advantage immediately from the restart. Moore picked the ball up just outside the area, then took it past Ben Tilney and Steven Gordon before slotting past Ross Glendinning with a curling finish.
Then, deep into first half stoppage time, Ronan Hale added a third with a header from inside the six-yard box from a perfectly delivered Ives free-kick.
Carrick reduced the deficit again six minutes into the second half courtesy of Kyle Cherry's back post finish after Tilney had done well to find him with a cross.
Stuart King's side bagged a point their endeavours deserved right at the end of the normal time when Lloyd Anderson knocked home the rebound after Gordon's initial effort came back off an upright.
