BLUES AND BANNSIDERS DRAW A BLANK
Linfield and Coleraine battled to a scoreless draw at Windsor Park to maintain the respective unbeaten runs for both sides.
The Blues have now gone 11 Premiership games without a loss while Coleraine have gone seven games without tasting defeat.
Linfield created the better chances in the first half with Eetu Vertainen coming close with a header from Jamie Mulgrew's cross, with the Finn threatening a little later with a half volley just wide of the target.
The home side continued to press as the game progressed. Matthew Clarke had a go from outside the box but the ball fell the wrong side of the post, before the same player was denied by a Martin Gallagher full length save
Indeed, the Blues suffered a similar fate on multiple occasions after the break. Vertainen failed to direct a header on target, Robbie McDaid saw a shot through a crowded box slide just wide and Joel Cooper's shot with ten minutes remaining also went the wrong side of an upright.
As the game wore to a close Vertainen was again kept out by Gallagher, and new Coleraine signing Eamon Fyfe saw a free-kick safely gathered by Chris Johns.
