CRUES SWEEP PAST RANGERS
Crusaders kept up with the leading pack in the Premiership with a three-goal victory over Carrick Rangers at the Loughview Leisure Arena.
The Crues moved in front after just ten minutes when Paul Heatley made no mistake after going one-on-one with keeper Ross Glendinning to find the net from close range.
That was how it stayed until a couple of minutes from the break after Jordan Forsythe doubled Crusaders' lead when he connected with a Ross Clarke corner.
And Forsythe added a third on 50 minutes, and like Heatley's opener it came after bearing down on Glendinning one-on-one.
To their credit, Carrick attempted to hit back and came close via a Kyle Cherry volley and Alex Gawne effort from the left.
But the Crues might have added to their tally later in the game through Declan Caddell only for his shot from the edge of the box to go wide of the left post.
