SWIFTS MAKE IT TWO WINS FROM THREE
Dungannon Swifts swept to a 4-1 victory over Carrick Rangers at Stangmore Park to record their second win in three league outings.
The Swifts moved in front after 18 minutes through James Knowles who converted from the spot awarded after Rhyss Campbell had been fouled by Mark Surgenor.
Gerardo Bruna might have made it 2-0 midway through the first half with a free-kick from an acute angle only for the ball to come back off the post.
But the Swifts did double their advantage on 41 minutes courtesy of Marc Walsh's tap in after Campbell's initial effort had been well kept out by Ross Glendinning.
Carrick pulled a goal back early in the second half after Lloyd Anderson touched home the loose ball from close range when Alex Gawne's effort was palmed out by Declan Dunne.
The visitors were reduced to ten men with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when Emmett McGuckin was shown a straight red card following an incident with Mayowa Animasahun.
Dungannon made their extra man count a short time later when Campbell slotted home from close range after receiving the ball from Walsh.
Then, six minutes into stoppage time, Knowles doubled his tally to complete the scoring with the final kick of the game.
