HEGARTY BRACE GIVES CRUES EDGE OVER GLENS
Chris Hegarty bagged two goals as Crusaders defeated Glentoran at Seaview to go second in the table.
The Crues moved in front after just four minutes when Adam Lecky go on the end of a Paul Heatley ball before heading past Aaron McCarey.
Glentoran levelled just sixty seconds later, however, through Danny Purkis' close range finish from Bobby Burns' pass.
Crusaders regained the advantage midway through the first half with Hegarty's first of the afternoon, a header from Ross Clarke's corner which McCarey touched onto the post but couldn't prevent it going in.
The visitors got back on level terms once more six minutes after the break courtesy of Jay Donnelly's deflected finish from James Singleton's strike.
But just three minutes after that the Crues moved back in front again when Hegarty knocked the ball over the line after Lecky's initial effort crashed back off the bar.
