BLUES AND CRUES DRAW A BLANK
Linfield and Crusaders played out a scoreless draw in the Saturday evening kick-off at Windsor Park.
A first half of few chances, the Crues came closest to finding a way through as the game inched towards the break when Adam Lecky connected with a Paul Heatley cross only to head past the far post.
Then, early in the second half, Billy Joe Burns had a go with a volley at the back post but his effort was cleared off the line by Cameron Palmer.
Indeed, despite Linfield enjoying more possession, it was the Crues that created the better chances and they came close again when Jordan Owens got his head to a cross at the far post but couldn't direct the ball on target.
