FREE SCORING LARNE BAG ANOTHER FIVE
Larne hit five goals without reply past Portadown at Shamrock Park to open up a three point gap at the top of the table.
Leroy Millar opened the scoring on 33 minutes after meeting a Ben Doherty corner that bypassed everyone to slot into an open goal.
Doherty got on the scoresheet himself soon after being played through by Mark Randall and, making the most of a defensive error, tucked the ball past Jethren Barr.
But the real damage was done in a blistering three minute spell early in the second half.
Lee Bonis extended Larne's lead on 50 minutes with a rifled finish from inside the area, with Doherty doubling his tally sixty seconds after that from a Paul O'Neill lay-off.
Then, moments later, Cian Bolger scrambled home a fifth after Tomas Cosgrove had nodded down a corner.
And they might have hit the Ports for six late on only for Bonis to strike the crossbar.
