BLUES NEED LATE McDAID WINNER
Linfield came from behind to grab a late winner and claim the points from Glenavon's visit to Windsor Park.
The Blues might have moved in front with around a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock only for Glenavon keeper Rory Brown to keep out a Robbie McDaid back post effort at point blank range.
Joel Cooper also threatened for Linfield with a left-foot show from 20 yards that rose a little too high over the target.
Linfield continued to create chances after the break but were shocked just short of the hour mark when Micheal Glynn blasted Glenavon into the lead with a stunning 25-yard strike.
David Healy's side responded positively, almost levelled soon after only for Jimmy Callacher head against the crossbar.
But they did equalise on 68 minutes courtesy of substitute Daniel Finlayson who fired home from close range after Callacher had nodded on a Kirk Millar free-kick.
Pressing for the winner, Linfield came close through Eetu Vertainen and Andrew Clarke but had to wait until five minutes from time to secure the points when McDaid made up for a frustrating afternoon by turning home the winner from around 20 yards out.
