GLENS HIT FOUR TO LEAPFROG LARNE AT THE TOP
Glentoran leapfrogged Larne at the top of the table with an emphatic four goal victory at the BetMcLean Oval.
Conor McMenamin broke the deadlock as early as the tenth minute when his free-kick from wide on the right bypassed everyone in the area to go past keeper Rohan Ferguson in off the left post.
That was how it stayed until just before the hour when McMenamin turned provider with a great cross into the box for Jay Donnelly to direct into the net with a diving header at the far upright.
Then, midway through the second half, Danny Purkis added a third with a tap in after McMenamin once again provided the crucial delivery.
And McMenamin completed the scoring - and doubled his own tally - with seven minutes left after outpacing the Larne defence and cutting inside to beat Ferguson again albeit via deflection off Fuad Sule.
