BLUES STORM BACK TO FORM
Linfield returned to winning ways with a four goal victory over Ballymena United at The Showgrounds.
The Blues moved in front on 38 minutes when Joel Cooper ran on to Kym Nelson's attempted backpass to turn the ball past keeper Sean O'Neill.
Then, moments from the break, the visitors doubled their advantage after Stephen Fallon sent a deep cross over from the left for Kirk Millar to make the most of a moment of indecision in the home defence to smash the ball home.
Linfield's third arrived just before the hour. United defender George Tipton was adjudged to have block a Kyle McClean shot with his hand and, from the resultant spot-kick, Chris Shields stepped up to send O'Neill the wrong way.
And the scoring was completed just three minutes after that when Fallon got past Scot Whiteside to send another left-sided ball into the box for Robbie McDaid to volley home.
