ALL SQUARE AFTER SEAVIEW TUSSLE
Crusaders and Larne battled to a draw at Seaview in a game that had no shortage of excitement on display.
The first real moment of note arrived just after the quarter-of-an-hour mark when Mark Randall unleashed a strong left-foot shot from the edge of the area which Jonny Tuffey did well to push over while, from the subsequent corner, Lee Bonis fired wide of the target.
At the other end Johnny McMurray went close with a glancing header from a corner before Paul Heatley was later denied by a fine reaction stop from Rohan Ferguson.
The sides continued to trade chances as the first half progressed with Tuffey keeping Leroy Millar while Heatley lobbed the ball the wrong side of the goal.
Tuffey was called into action again early in the second half to deal with a Bonis header but the deadlock came even closer to being broken after that when McMurray drilled a left-foot shot against an upright.
Larne were reduced to ten men with around half-an-hour to go when Randall was dismissed for his second bookable offence.
Finally, with 65 minutes on the clock, Philip Lowry found a way through from close range after meeting a Heatley cross.
But the ten men levelled on 80 minutes through Millar after he was quickest to react to the rebound from a Bonis free-kick which Tuffey had initially kept out.
