'GERS MAKE MOST OF BLUES EURO HANGOVER
Carrick Rangers took advantage of Linfield's European hangover to defeat the Blues at the Loughview Leisure Arena.
Stuart King's side moved in front after 14 minutes through Andy Mitchell who unleashed a tremendous 30-yard effort into the top left corner beyond the reach of the despairing Chris Johns.
Linfield levelled early in the second half when Ethan Devine did well to bring down a long ball forward and finish into the far corner from the edge of the box.
But Carrick regained the advantage - and ultimately the points - just after the hour courtesy of Emmett McGuckin's effort into the roof of the net after Linfield failed to clear Ben Tilney's long throw into the box.
