CRUES HIT FOUR AT THE SHOWGROUNDS
Crusaders produced a storming performance to sweep to a convincing victory over Coleraine at The Showgrounds.
The visitors moved in front with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock through Adam Lecky who swept the ball home after a low cross from the right by Billy Joe Burns.
Coleraine might have levelled with ten minutes of the first half remaining but James McLaughlin failed to beat Jonny Tuffey from close range.
Then, moments later, the Crues doubled their advantage when Paul Heatley knocked the ball home after Lecky had done well to create the opening.
And it was 3-0 before the break with Daniel Larmour finding the net with a superb drilled effort into the top corner after connecting with a ball from the right.
Not content with that, the visitors added a fourth a couple of minutes into the second half when Burns sent over another ball from the right for Jude Winchester to glance past Gareth Deane.
Stephen Baxter's side might have grabbed a fifth late on but Philip Lowry was denied by Deane while Jonny McMurray sent the rebound wide.
Coleraine bagged a late consolation when, in stoppage time, Josh Carson cut inside to beat Tuffey with a lovely curling effort.
