WAIDE LATE LEVELLER EARNS FIRST POINT FOR SKY BLUES
Ryan Waide struck in stoppage time to earn Ballymena United their first point of the season with a draw at home to Glenavon.
Waide levelled for the Sky Blues in the 92nd minute after the loose ball from a Conor Keeley header cleared off the line fell at his feet at the back post.
Matthew Fitzpatrick had opened the scoring for the visitors six minutes into the second half from the follow up after United keeper Jordan Williamson had kept out Kyle Beggs' initial effort.
The scoreless first half did have chances at either end. United had an early opportunity to open the scoring when skipper Leroy Millar flashed a header wide from Daniel Bramall's free-kick.
Glenavon came closest following a goalmouth scramble that saw Williamson make an impressive save and Daniel Wallace striking the crossbar.
