GLENS TOO STRONG FOR YOUTHFUL CRUES
Two second half goals saw Glentoran wrap their league campaign up with victory over a youthful Crusaders side at The Oval.
Despite their inexperience, the Crues kept their more battle hardened hosts at bay for the entirely of the first half even though the Glens did have opportunities to open the scoring through Andrew Mitchell and Seanan Clucas.
Cameron Stewart had the ball in the net after the break but this was ruled out for a foul on Michael Ruddy during the build up.
However the deadlock was finally broken on 64 minutes when Mitchell's cross from the right reached Ben Cushnie who marked his full debut with an assured header past Neil Shields.
Then, with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, Mitchell made it 2-0 after getting on the end of Keith Cowan's defence splitting ball to poke the finish past the Crues keeper.
