'GERS AND SWIFTS SHARE THE POINTS
Carrick Rangers and Dungannon Swifts went head-to-head at the Loughshore Hotel Arena but both sides had to settle for a point apiece at the end of the night.
Carrick had a great chance to seize the lead after just four minutes but Reece Neale's low free-kick from the right was cleared off the line while, a couple of minutes later, Jordan Gibson flicked the ball on for Daniel Kelly to head straight at Roy Carroll.
At the other Cahal McGinty volleyed just over from Michael Carvill's delivery into the box from the left before Rhyss Campbell had a chance but couldn't test Aaron Hogg with a low strike.
However, the Swifts did move in front midway through the first half when McGinty atoned for his earlier miss with a back post header after Carvill had sent over another ball.
Chris Ramsey had a chance to level for Carrick a few minutes into the second half but he could only head over after Gibson had knocked on Neale's throw-in.
But Rangers did equalise just before the hour. Lloyd Anderson did well to get the ball into the box with it falling for Cathair Friel who reacted quickly to fire below Carroll.
And the home side had in the ball in the net again with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining but, following a discussion, Jordan Jenkins' goal was ruled out by the match officials for offside.
