FOUR GOALS SHARED AT MOURNEVIEW
Glenavon twice came from behind to share the points from Larne's visit to Mourneview Park.
Larne moved in front on 18 minutes. David McDaid deserves great credit for carving out the opportunity after getting past three players before laying the ball off for Martin Donnelly to beat Craig Hyland with a right foot close range finish.
However, Glenavon levelled five minutes later. Conor Devlin made an initial save to deny Gareth McCaffrey but the ball only went as far as Matthew Fitzpatrick who reacted quickest to find the net with a low strike.
The visitors regained the advantage five minutes before half-time. Mark Randall lifted the ball into the box for Jeff Hughes, his header came back off the post before it fell for McDaid to tap over the line.
Larne had a couple of chances to extend their lead early in the second half with Randall testing Craig Hyland from 20 yards while, a moment later, John Herron saw an effort from outside the area tipped over.
But, on 72 minutes, Glenavon equalised for a second time to earn a point. Conan Byrne worked his way into the box only to be brought down by Josh Robinson and, after dusting himself down, he stepped up to fire the spot-kick home straight down the middle.
