SPOILS SHARED AT MILLTOWN
Warrenpoint Town and Ballymena United shared the spoils in an evenly matched contest at Milltown.
Ballymena started brightly, having an early chance through Trai Hume on two minutes with a free header in the box.
But they didn't have to wait long to move in front when, on eight minutes, Joe McCready curled the ball past Gabriel Sava at the far post after he cut inside from Jude Winchester's reverse pass.
'Point almost replied straightaway when Ryan Swan hit the post with Jordan Williamson beaten while, just before the break, the woodwork was rattled at the other end with Winchester's effort from a short corner.
However, Warrenpoint did get back on level terms on 38 minutes courtesy of Adam Carroll's header from a corner which was awarded following a mix-up between Williamson and Sean Graham.
The second half was largely an even affair, although 'Point will feel they might have edged it.
Carroll had an opportunity to bag his second of the evening after getting behind Ross Redman but he could only direct a shot straight at Williamson.
And Barry Gray's side were unlucky later in the half when the ball came back off an upright and into Williamson's grateful arms.
