NO GOALS AT THE OVAL
Glentoran and Larne failed to produce any goals in Saturday evening's Danske Bank Premiership clash at The Oval.
For Larne it meant the loss of their 100% start to the new season but they remain the only unbeaten side apart from Linfield after four games while Glentoran still await their first win of the campaign.
In the end it proved to be a game of few clear cut openings, although Larne started brightly when Martin Donnelly saw a free-kick tipped over inside the first ten minutes.
Donnelly had another opportunity midway through the first half when the ball fell for him inside the area but he failed to keep it on target.
A Mark Randall chance just after the half-hour mark met a similar fate while, at the other end, Robbie McDaid was denied by Conor Devlin's interception.
After the break Fuad Sule sent a dipping half-volley just over and Randall saw a low shot saw by Dayle Coleing.
For Glentoran Joe Crowe perhaps came closest while Luke McCullough's late header from a free-kick was glanced just wide.
