LARNE HIT TWO AT STANGMORE
Larne made it eight wins from nine across all competitions with a two-goal defeat of Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park.
The opening quarter-of-an-hour produced chances for both sides, Daniel Hughes was denied by Larne keeper Conor Mitchell while, for the visitors, Tomas Cosgrove sent the ball across the box with David McDaid just failing to make contact.
Dungannon came close just after the half-hour mark when Caolan McAleer picked up the loose ball and clipped an upright via a curling but deflected effort.
However, the deadlock was broken soon after when Martin Donnelly was on hand to fire home after the ball fell loose from Lee Lynch's initial effort which Swifts keeper Conner Byrne had punched clear.
The second half was a pretty quiet affair, with the only real highlight coming on 65 minutes when Fuad Sule doubled Larne's lead when his speculative 20-yard effort squirmed past Byrne into the net.
