GLACKIN WINNER SENDS BANNSIDERS SECOND
Coleraine moved back into second spot in the table thanks to victory over fellow title challengers Glentoran at The Oval.
The first effort of note during a quiet opening period came through Elvio van Overbeek but his quickly taken free-kick was sent over the bar.
The Bannsiders had a chance to go in front after 23 minutes when Eoin Bradley was brought down by Gavin Peers on the right side of the area but the Coleraine man could only fire the spot-kick that followed well over the goal.
Chris Gallagher had an opening for the Glens later in the half but he couldn't find the target from a van Overbeek ball while, early in the second half, Stewart Nixon saw an effort meet a similar fate after being supplied by Stephen O'Donnell.
Josh Carson came closer a short time later with a half volley just wide from James McLaughlin's knock down.
However, Coleraine did take the lead just after the hour through Jamie Glackin when his corner from the left was caught by the wind and bypassed everyone in the box to end up in the far corner of the net.
That was how it stayed with the conditions increasingly making things difficult for both sets of players.
