REDS AND SWIFTS FINISH ALL SQUARE AT SOLITUDE
Cliftonville stuttered in the race for the title after being held to a draw by Dungannon Swifts at Solitude.
The Swifts enjoyed the best of the opening exchanges when Shane McGinty volleyed over following good work by Caolan McAleer and Kris Lowe.
But the Swifts did go in front on 26 minutes through Douglas Wilson when he got his head to McAleer's free-kick on the right to nod past Reds keeper Richard Brush.
Cliftonville levelled eight minutes later, however, when Joe Gormley got past Wilson to reach a long ball forward and hook the ball over Conner Byrne despite Dylan King's best efforts at a goalline clearance.
Wilson almost restored Dungannon's lead with the first real effort of the second half, a free-kick from just outside the area which curled around the wall only to go narrowly over.
Rhyss Campbell then had a go with a header from Oisin Smyth's cross but there wasn't enough power in the ball to trouble Brush.
At the other end Ryan Curran tried to tee up Michael McCrudden but the Swifts defence squeezed him out before, on the counter attack, McAleer saw an effort saved before the ball was finally cleared.
