EAST ANTRIM STALEMATE AT INVER PARK
Draw specialists Larne recorded their eighth stalemate of the season with a scoreless Boxing Day derby at home to neighbours Carrick Rangers.
The first half was largely devoid of scoring opportunities although, with around a quarter-of-an-hour gone, Conor Devlin was forced into a full stretch save to deny Lloyd Anderson from inside the area.
Other than that Martin Donnelly failed to trouble Aaron Hogg with a weak effort while, later in the half, Anderson hesitated when well placed while Caolan Loughran saw a free-kick deflected over.
Donnelly failed to make the most of a gilt-edged opportunity early in the second half when, from Ben Tilney's left wing cross, he couldn't direct a header on target.
There was a brief flurry of chances towards the end with David McDaid forcing a save from Hogg, Reece Neale firing just wide from outside the box and Mark Randall looking like he had found the bottom corner only for the Carrick keeper to tip the ball around the post for a corner.
