LYNCH DOUBLE SEALS DERBY WIN FOR LARNE
Larne produced a convincing three goal performance in their Danske Bank Premiership derby win with Ballymena United at the Showgrounds.
The Invermen got off to a flying start when Declan Carville brought down Lee Lynch in the box after five minutes - Jeff Hughes stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.
An injury to leading scorer Cathair Friel added to United's woes, as it wasn't until 36 minutes before the home forged a meaningful attack with Josh Kelly's effort blocked.
Larne doubled their lead with five minutes remaining in the first half as McMurray squared the ball across the face of goal for Lee Lynch after breaking the down the home defence and the midfielder finished from close range.
Lynch added a second goal and a third for Larne ten minutes into the second half. His effort from the inside of the box took a deflection of Josh Kelly to loop over the head of the helpless Ross Glendinning.
The win moves Larne three points clear of Ballymena United in sixth place in the Danske Bank Premiership table.
