LARNE HIT WARRENPOINT FOR SIX
Larne hit Warrenpoint Town for six at Inver Park as they marked their return to the top flight in style.
Martin Donnelly might have opened the scoring as early as the fifth minute but his 25-yard free-kick sailed just over.
But he wasn't to be denied on 18 minutes when he made the most of a mix up in the 'Point defence to coolly finish to Berraat Turker's right.
That was how it stayed until just before the break when Jeff Hughes pounced on another defensive error to tap the ball into an empty net.
David McDaid made it 3-0 a minute into the second half, touching the ball home at the back post from Donnelly's delivery before doubling his tally five minutes later from inside the six yard box.
In stark contrast Mark Randall added a fifth for Larne with an audacious 40-yard lob over Turker on 69 minutes after spotting the keeper off his line.
Donnelly then wrapped things up with just under a quarter-of-an-hour to go with a composed finish following a good build up.
